Sample Of The Content Inside Purifying Plants:

Introduction
If you’re like most people, you worry about the quality of the air you’re breathing.

There’s just so much pollution nowadays, from factories and industries, vehicles, and second-hand smoke.

And it’s not just outside, either.

Inside, you’re exposed to that same air, plus whatever toxic chemicals happen to be in your cleaning products or the paint on your walls.

There are also hundreds of microorganisms living in your house.

NASA produced a report on “Interior Landscape Plants for Indoor Air Pollution Abatement.”

This study looked at various plants, plus a carbon filter to see whether the plants could absorb and purify toxins and microorganisms from indoor air.

Based on this report and other sources of proven research, we’ve compiled a list of the top indoor plants that can help purify your home’s air and protect you and your family from toxins and microorganisms.

Best of all, many of these are very easy to grow and maintain, so even if you aren’t a green-thumb, you can have clean air inside your home.

One thing to keep in mind, though. These are live plants, so they’ll need.....

Subject: Growing Aloe Vera

Hi There!

Yesterday we talked about growing a pineapple plant
to increase the oxygen in your bedroom.

Today we’ll talk about another common plant you’ve
probably seen: the aloe vera plant.

It’s not just for burns or scrapes, but actually
reduces the levels of formaldehyde in the room.

If the levels of toxins grow too high, you’ll actually
see brown spots on the leaves of your aloe vera.

Your succulent will appreciate a well-drained soil,
so buy special succulent mix or prepare your own by
mixing potting soil in equal parts with sand.

Pot your aloe vera in a terra cotta pot which will
keep the soil from becoming too soggy.

Water the plant heavily every two weeks and allow
the soil to dry out between waterings. Aloe vera is a
desert plant and likes less water than other houseplants.

Moist soil will make the roots rot. If the leaves go
limp or brown, you’ve overwatered.

Place your aloe vera in a bright sunny place so it won’t
go dormant. Repot it if the weight of the plant makes
the pot tip over, but otherwise don’t worry about giving
it much space. Aloe vera likes to be snug.

If you’d like, you can gradually accustom your plant to
outdoor light during the summer months. Start with a
shady spot and slowly move it into full sun after a few
weeks.

Your aloe vera may produce a tall stalk of small
bell-shaped flowers from time to time, which means it’s
really healthy.

Once the blooms have died back, simply snip the stalk
away at the base. Another way aloe vera plants reproduce
is to create new, smaller plants that are perfect for
propagation.

If you notice one of those tiny plants, dump the dirt
out of the pot and gently separate the roots of the two
plants, then plant the smaller one in a new container.

You might also have some luck rooting the leaves. Trim
the leaves to about three inches from the tip and bury
the cut ends down in potting soil.

Not every leave will sprout, but some will produce tiny
new leaves at the base. Wait until this new plant grows
a few inches, then repot it.

Aloe vera plants absorb formaldehyde, which is found
in some paints and preservatives.

If you have a freshly painted or refurbished room,
an aloe vera would be a great addition.

Be careful to keep it out of reach of your pets though,
as it’s toxic to cats and dogs. It causes vomiting and
diarrhea, along with other symptoms.

In our next email, we’ll talk about English ivy as a
houseplant.

Until then,
